Unbox the Room is a relaxing puzzle game about unpacking and arranging a room. You open the boxes, move things around, and figure out where each item looks like it belongs.
Unlike fast sorting games, there is no need to race through the room. You can take a moment to look at the space before deciding what to place.
Open a box and take out an item. Drag it around the room and put it where it fits. Keep working through the boxes until the room is finished.
Start with the biggest objects and work toward the smaller ones. When an item has no obvious home, leave it for later instead of forcing it into an empty space.
The tricky part is usually the small stuff. A few objects can look right in several places, so you may need to move them around before the layout starts making sense.
I found the game more about observation than speed. At first, I wanted to place everything as soon as I opened a box. That often made the room harder to organize. Leaving the uncertain items aside and coming back to them later worked much better.
The slow pace makes it easy to settle into. There are no enemies or complicated controls, so most of the attention goes toward arranging the room and spotting where things fit.
