What is Deductle?
Deductle is a unique and challenging deduction puzzle game inspired by the classic Wordle format but with a twist. Instead of guessing a word based solely on letters, Deductle requires players to guess words based on clues related to the word's attributes. The game tests your logical thinking and deductive reasoning, offering a fun and educational way to exercise your brain. In the current version, players must guess fruit names, using a set of three specific attributes—Shape, Taste, and Texture—to guide their guesses.
How to Play
Playing Deductle is straightforward once you understand the core mechanics of the game. Here’s how to get started:
- Objective:
- The goal is to guess the target word (a fruit) based on clues provided by the game, specifically related to the fruit’s Shape, Taste, and Texture. Your task is to logically deduce the correct word using the “warmth rating” of each guess.
- Making a Guess:
- Choose a word from the menu and click Submit to make your guess. Each guess will trigger a warmth rating, which indicates how close your guess is to the target fruit's attributes.
- Warmth Rating:
- The warmth rating ranges from freezing to hot, helping you gauge how close your guess is to the correct answer. The closer your guess is to the target fruit’s characteristics, the hotter the rating will be. This rating system helps you narrow down possibilities as you proceed through the game.
- Using Attributes:
- The game uses three attributes—Shape, Taste, and Texture—to describe each fruit. The goal is to figure out which of these attributes match your guesses. You can refer to a table at the bottom of the screen to see what each attribute represents for your guesses.
- Each guess will give you a clue about the attributes of the target word. The more guesses you make, the more clues you’ll have to deduce the correct answer.
- Hints:
- If you need extra help, there’s a Hints section in the menu at the bottom of the screen. This section describes the exact attributes of each object. However, to make the game more challenging, it’s recommended to avoid using hints and try to figure things out with logic and deduction.
- Level:
- Currently, Deductle has a single level called Fruit, where the target words are different types of fruits. Each fruit has three attributes: Shape, Taste, and Texture. As the game progresses, more levels with different themes may be added.
- Planned Content:
- Future updates to the game will introduce more levels and potentially multiple languages, offering a broader and more diverse experience for players.
