About Sweardle

Sweardle is a variation of the popular word-guessing game Wordle that adds an extra level of challenge and excitement by restricting the acceptable answers to sworn words in the English language. This unique twist puts players' vocabulary skills to the test as they try to guess the correct four-letter word within four chances.

How to play Sweardle

Sweardle is played with two players, each starting with ten letter tiles, including two "V" tiles. Players take turns placing one tile at a time on the board, with the goal of creating real words. Both players must agree that the word being formed is a valid and acceptable swear word. If both players concur, the tile is placed on the board. If not, the player must keep the tile and try again on their subsequent turn.

As the game progresses, players aim to have as many words as possible on the board. Each word formed earns the player points based on the composition of the word. Here's the point system:

  • Each letter: 5 points
  • Each vowel: 3 points
  • Each consonant: 1 point
  • Double letters (Vs): 2 points

The player with the highest total points at the end of the game is declared the winner.
